Porch to Bedroom + Additional New Porch

 

Kiawah Island is a resort town focused on complimenting nature and enjoying the outdoors. Its architecture follows suit.

 

The clients in this home wanted to enclose the original screen porch to make an additional bedroom.  However, they didn’t want to lose their outdoor space, so they added a new screen porch wrap around the back of the home. The new porch was off the kitchen and served as a walk out space for exterior dining and a beautiful view of the golf course.

 

We also added a deck to the new bedroom addition, so the green space access was maintained in that area as well. The new porch also accessed the backyard via the stairs. We made sure that all the new additions matched the older style of the home.
